Final project:

With data set of your choice, make a plot or chart.  Demonstrate options that control the size, font, and appearance of title statements and axis labels, control the tic mark labels on the axis, modify the legend, and modify the appearance of the graph using symbol or pattern statements.

SAS Certification

All Statistics students are strongly encouraged to pursue SAS certification.  It is a very marketable credential.  Some companies pay hiring bonuses for having it, and even if they don't, it is an impressive resume item which may help you get the interview.

Some people have had trouble installing the learning edition or finding the sas.exe file.  This page might be helpful.
The Learning Edition does not work on Windows Vista. (It also has a few problems in 64-bit XP but mostly works.)

SAS in the Labs

Ag Hall 113 should be open from 7:00 to 10:00 each day except when there's class in there.  Schedule

According to tech support, "We have SAS currently installed on 6 stations in NFA 138 and the 4 stations in the basement of Sorenson. There will be 8 in the Grad Lab in Briggs."
